The one on the SNES was much easier in first person, and the second could go into first person as well. Yes, Starfox in general tends to be better as a rail shooter where you can see in third person, but it'd be an interesting idea regardless.
Keep in mind he's also the one guy who'll just...do whatever he wants when he feels like it. He basically made Pikmin on a whim because he likes gardening.
Starfox would fit great. Imagine being INSIDE the Arwing. Seeing as how Starfox 64 was made because of the Rumble Pak, to make you FEEL the experiance, it's the most logical evolution.
