Geely has already had talks with NASCAR about an exhibition race in China, so they could talk about adding this to the 2020 schedule (yes I know it’s not in China ).

I have similar experiences with my first NASCAR race, which was the 2008 tire debacle where they could only run 8 laps on the tires before they’d blow out. What a horrible race that was! To make matters worse, the fans in the stands had no idea why there was a caution every 8-10 laps.

The creepy porn lawyer loves any way to get publicity. Trump would absolutely shellack him

Thanks for proving your own point of “...arguments that only make sense under specific circumstances while purposely ignoring reality” Nice way to be a hypocrite. Not many can afford a $100k Tesla, but of course the few rich enough can afford to rent a car for a road trip. That’s not 95% of america though.

I was

1. Not many people will rent a ICE car for a road trip. That gets very expensive fast.

2. yeah... “if you have sufficient residential solar” which is a big if and a “specific circumstance” that you just alluded to. Even if you did, you’d still have non-renewable based power plants making electricity because solar and

1. Sure, better means different things to different people. As of now, anyone who even sees themselves going on a road trip are not going to buy an electric car due to range issues. A lot of people thought steam power was “better” than the Internal Combustion Engine until that tech got “better” and steam power became

Definitely my grandmother. When I was in college, she visited me and I thought we were going to die on the interstate. I took the keys and drove back from the restaurant. 40 mph on the interstate is terrifying, meanwhile cars are going 70+ mph.

I’ve been to California 15 times.  Nice try

Viable as in better than internal combustion engine cars. Electric cars are still a shit show with low range and still require fossil fuels to make electricity as well as causing emissions in the process of making the batteries. You are still burning coal or natural gas to make the electricity to charge the electric

We don’t need the government to ram down electric cars down our throats. If it was actually viable, then people will start only buying electric cars. Also we don’t need the government regulating MPG at all. Car companies will naturally want to beat their competition in that to market and sell their cars. Big Brother

The one making fun of the useless JD Power Initial Quality awards is pretty good as well.  I mean how the hell does “quality within the first 90 days” mean a damn thing?

No, I have the hatchback EX

Agreed, tired of the boring black, white and combos of the two.

As is the red one I got in March

Gotta love Mahk

When I was in college and had no where to do an oil change myself, I took my car there.  Coincidence or not, car was running fine when I took it.  Driving out of the parking lot, it was misfiring like an SOB.  It ended up being a bad plug wire, but very odd for it to happen immediately after an oil change like that.

Nah, I’d rather see the 35 mph to 70 mph acceleration time since that is a typical interstate acceleration.

Once it hits 10 years old, then it is an old car

Yep, have to insert politics into literally everything.
