The problem is you’re not just running the game on the PC. You’re running a copy of the insides of a console, which is then running the game itself. It adds an impressive amount of overhead.
No one is talking about just running the game on a PC. They’re talking about running a facsimile of the insides of an Xbox 360 on a PC, which is then in turn running the game. It adds a fairly insane amount of overhead.
Gamecube and PS2 work fine as long as your machine can handle it (as long as its not more than 3 or 4 years old or a cheap laptop you should be good).
