The story he told about his trans comedian friend, the comparison of being in one marginalized group to another

Clearly people born via caesarian aren’t really people, they are useful to have around when upstart Scottish kings get out of control though.

That’s part of what is so maddening. He has such good material OUTSIDE of the transphobic shit. Which he caught flack for before. And it wasn’t all us woke types, it was ALSO people just not thinking that was good material. But like so many standups, he clearly just couldn’t take the criticism so he went in again. And

There are people who would like to see friends of mine dead and Chappelle has declared he stands with them.

She should try being a Nazi sympathizer or an anti-vaxxer. Those people never seem to get deplatformed. Probably because they’re not doing anything TRULY evil, like being a woman in a hot tub.

This is exactly the kind of reverse justification that encourages companies to make shitty micro transaction filled, always online DRM riddled, GaaS, Freemium, pay-to-win, bullshit.

Pirate the game when it’s a decade old, mysteriously absent from Nintendo’s next online storefront and going for absurd prices on the secondhand market. But today? Just buy a copy.

This article is really scummy. I’ve always enjoyed your content Zack, but this article made me lose some respect for you. The game literally just released yesterday for crying out loud. Genuinely shitty article to post. At least wait a few months.

I sincerely hope that Kotaku never gets a review copy of a game again.

Sis somebody seriously ok this article or are you guys just allows to post whatever the hell nonsense you want now? Either way, please stop.

This shit just tacitly reinforces companies heavy-handed anti-piracy measures. The game is barely a day old.

lol Gee, I wonder why Nintendo hates us.

I’m not fond of articles like these. The tone is encouraging persons to pirate the game.

Emulator or no, this game is really really good. A few times throughout my life, I’ve thought I’d ‘outgrown’ video games. I just couldn’t keep interested in anything I tried. One game that made me realize I was wrong was Half Life 2. I realized that, no, video games weren’t disinteresting. Bad video games didn’t hold

Oh, that’s easy. Because Japanese developers think that Japanese games are inherently superior (“I don’t think westerners can make good games” - Shigeru Miyamoto) and if we westerners don’t react like they want, clearly we’re not understanding something. And this is coming from someone who generally vastly prefers

By that definition, literally everyone who participated in evil systems ‘is evil’ regardless of their level of agency in perpetuating those systems. Which I guess I’m not saying is wrong, but perhaps highlights the uselessness of using individualist, essentialist language to talk about systemic problems.

I’m curious why you would play a game called Spider-Man and then complain that Spider-Man is in it.

Being a quippy do-gooder is literally Spider-man’s entire thing.

Literally the fucking point. Sorry you’re mad Spider-Man was being Spider-Man.

Yes, how dare they make Peter in the game spiritually faithful to the comics!
