That's not entirely true. While the police don't need a warrant to search a car, they do need probable cause (as cases have proven). The problem has been deciding what constitutes probable cause, and decisions like that usually err in favor of the officer.

That's funny given Adobe has almost the most easily foiled DRM solution in the industry. Some people believe they do that on purpose to get more people using their software, but I digress.
