Look, if you can’t control anything about the plot, and there is no gameplay, then it is not a game. A game requires SOME measure of control, in action games at least I get to jump around and fight when I’m not watching the cutscenes, in visual novels I get to choose where the story goes, in most jRPGs I may not…

Well, I choice of games allows me to download a shit ton of CYOA books on steam so....yeah?

Visual novels at least have different endings depending on your choices!
