I find this so hard to care about. To me the big German brands have so little soul and personality left that I don’t really give a damn if AMG is losing its heritage or whatever. AMG has long been about loud Mercs with bodykits for people who will never drive above 30mph.

The previous AMG-sport models (of which this is merely a rebadging) featured a lot more AMG tuning than M-Performance models had M division input. Really, the main difference between the AMG-sport/AMG 43 and the full-fat cars is that the engine isn’t the proper hand-built AMG kind.

I love that concept. It’s great to see that sportscar manufacturers - no matter how powerful their offerings - are not losing sight of the fact that most buyers don’t live in a pit box. And I think it actually looks better than the 570S too.

That really depends where you live, for example in Paris there are previous few lots and you’d be lucky to even find a space on the street. Granted, it’s one of the densest cities in a developped country (even though it’s not very big).

It opens on the side that’s most practical for unloading from the pavement. If the car is left-hand-drive it’ll open the other way.
