I like it a lot myself. If you didn’t already know, it’s actually composed of three Citroën chevrons.

DS is not Citroën anymore, so anything DS makes will be definition have the DS badge, and only that badge.

Oh my God, I can’t unsee it.

Yeaaaah, but not really though. The one up top is not really a concept car, it’s a show car. What they do is they take the near-finalised future production model and then put some weird wing mirrors and remove the windows. It clearly looks production-ready-ish. It doesn’t really count as putting a concept car on the

The full range actually looks pretty good now!

The Audi R8 really is an incredible car. The boundless talent of Audi designers have allowed them to make a car that looks 100% like all Lamborghinis, all Ferraris, all production supercars and every single mid-engined concept car that ever was or will be. It’s really very impressive, in fact I don’t know how Audi R8

Citroën do not have a good track record of putting supercar concepts on the street.

*cough* *cough*

Damn it Raphaël, it’s not a Citroën! You just made some DS marketing people very sad indeed.

I find this so hard to care about. To me the big German brands have so little soul and personality left that I don’t really give a damn if AMG is losing its heritage or whatever. AMG has long been about loud Mercs with bodykits for people who will never drive above 30mph.

From an economic standpoint you sure can. AMG is a brand people aspire to, this will make AMG cars accessible to more people while not diluting the brand too much since the cars are genuinely modified by AMG in some way even though they don’t have real AMG engines. I know from an enthusiast point of view it’s proper

Are they though? From what I understand they weren’t just cosmetic packages, they actually included suspension tuning by AMG and the like. I’m not that well versed in the Mercedes range, I must admit.

I’m a bit confused now. So the C450 wasn’t an AMG Sport?

Yes, but you could argue that AMG-sport cars deserved to be elevated to proper AMG status more than M-Performance cars deserve to be M cars, given the level of actual AMG tuning AMG-sport cars received. When the demise of the AMG-sport line was announced (and everyone expected them to be reborn as full AMG cars) I

The previous AMG-sport models (of which this is merely a rebadging) featured a lot more AMG tuning than M-Performance models had M division input. Really, the main difference between the AMG-sport/AMG 43 and the full-fat cars is that the engine isn’t the proper hand-built AMG kind.

I love that concept. It’s great to see that sportscar manufacturers - no matter how powerful their offerings - are not losing sight of the fact that most buyers don’t live in a pit box. And I think it actually looks better than the 570S too.

That really depends where you live, for example in Paris there are previous few lots and you’d be lucky to even find a space on the street. Granted, it’s one of the densest cities in a developped country (even though it’s not very big).

It opens on the side that’s most practical for unloading from the pavement. If the car is left-hand-drive it’ll open the other way.

Pictures these colours in a Dubai street and they won’t look as ridiculous.
