All interiors should be brown.
All interiors should be brown.
Yes, that’s what a big cushiony American land-barge needs, a manual.
I actually think it’s almost too plain for a top-of-the-range Lincoln.
There isn’t really any link between the RS01 and the DeZir besides the overall shape. The DeZir was just a design study by Laurens van den Acker who had just been appointed head designer at Renault and it was to show what his new style would look like. It was also a full electric unlike the RS01. The Alpine A110-50,…
Will it still be made by GM? I hope they’ll make it look like the CT6.
Well, the A610 was Renault’s attempt at turning Alpine into a Porsche competitor. In that sense it was quite far from the brand’s original formula.
Well, considering that it’s only a race car, I see no reason you couldn’t buy one from Renault Sport in Europe and have it shipped to the States to race it, it’s homologated for GT3. If you had the means, of course.
Well, Alpine’s ethos is lightness and not particularly high power, so this isn’t really in the same ballpark. The Alpine is still coming this year, but it’s a completely different car.
It can if you detune it, which they did for GT3. I don’t think they planned on doing that originally - its only purpose was to replace the Mégane Trophy V6 as a single-make Renault racer - but the car has been received so well that people wanted to race them in GT3, so they developed a slower version for that purpose.
Against other models, I think so. The first season of the single-make series is already over I believe.
Yup, they essentially developed a version that’s worse and got it homologated for GT3.
It’s not a one-off, for God’s sake. They’ve already built and sold many of them and if you have the means you can purchase one. But it’s a racing car through and through, you can’t just slap number plates on it and call it a day. I don’t think there’s even a single road car available for sale today with a carbon tub…
But it’s not a concept. You can actually call up Renault Sport and order one. You just can’t drive it on the road, because it’s a purpose-built racing car. Carbon tub, inboard suspension... You can’t just “put” something like that into production, it would essentially have to be re-engineered to the point where it…
What’s the point of showing something like this when you’re a completely new brand? We all know the production car - if there is ever one - will not look anything like this. I can hardly see any design cues on this concept that could make it to production. You can make concept cars that preview new design languages…
And there’s probably a new one coming soon. The DS 3 will get facelifted in Geneva (and lose the Citroën badges like the DS 4 and 5) and a new hot hatch version should follow.
I love the GT4. It’s probably next in line for a ridiculous increase in price now that the collectors have all gotten their hands on the 246 GT’s of this world.
