The only reason Jalopnik likes diesel is because it’s an American website and to American gearheads diesel has an air of forbidden European fruit about it. In Europe diesel cars are commonplace so people don’t care for them as much.

It’s bad to the point that traffic as to be cut in half by-law to make the city breathable again.

This is fascinating info that is surprisingly poorly known. I only learned about all of this a week ago on popular French car blog Boîtier Rouge (by the way, if you guys at Jalopnik read French you’ll love that blog). It’s nice to read a similar article here, I hope it’ll help bring the story to many more people.

At the end of the day, it’s still a big fat CUV. It’s fast and hi-tech and all, but it’s no wonder car enthusiasts don’t go as crazy over a big fat CUV than they did over a sleek sedan like the Model S. But that’s okay, because we’re not the ones Tesla wants to sell this car to. And come on, no-one in the entire world…
