It would be a less fun experience. Instead of seeing everything, doing everything, going from Ronaldo to Isco to Bale you'd be one person, out on the pitch, awkwardly moving in a way that made things happen that didn't match. You don't see Ronaldo flip, the crashing tackles aren't seen, etc.

"Casual" is definitely the future of EVERYTHING, not just games. As anything gets more popular (computers, fashion, social media, whatever) it gets streamlined and refined to appeal to the mass market. The same will and is happening to gaming right now.
