ARR was rather rough on quests with extra runaround but they got flack for that and since have tried to reign in that tendency and keep main story quests going in a forward direction than middling before going forward. There is still middling here and there but nothing as serious as what ARR did such as the whole

They got a lot better with MSQ design after the post ARR quests. Personally I miss the lengthier padded MSQ chains as an active player, but I see how much they could suck if you’re playing catch-up.

Same. If I can’t suppress a game’s chat feature, I don’t play it. I have zero interest in hearing someone else telling me how I should be playing my toon.

As I understand it from watching a few EVO’s on Twitch, the defeated person does that to minimize the time to get back to the character select screen and less time is spent looking at the after fight stat screen (if any). Its also to get more time to swap out every player efficiently so they can get their fight

Not really, he admitted defeat.

yeah- thats common practice in every pro video game/card game once someone knows its over. IMO its a last ditch effort to rob your opponent of the satisfaction even though you take home that loss.

I still insist Link Between Worlds is the perfect video game. Not the best (BotW is obviously better), but as a game, it’s perfect.

You should look up the Warcraft tributes. They’ll leave you weeping. There’s an NPC in the game that uses the voice of a kid who died of leukemia super sad. I found the npc in game and heard the voice and was overwhelmed.

I agree I missed the event last year because I didn’t own a copy of Overwatch at the time. I always envied people who had the skins and highlights I missed out on.

ah, yeah, i’m a Big Baby and absolutely needed it from the moment i saw it, so i managed to get it at MSRP. i look forward to telling people, five years from now, “i could sell this for [huge price],” meanwhile knowing i would never, ever sell it.

Same here. I actually took it back to Best Buy the very next day after I bought it, and the customer service rep was pretty cool that she took the game back as a defect and allowed me to exchange for a game of equal value (which is Persona 5).

Same, although I do end up playing ARMS when people come over, so there’s that at least

It’s because it’s a fighting game with a low character count, almost no background story for the characters, and a small deviation between their skillset. This isn’t me trying to knock the game, this is me explaining why ANY fighting game bores me after a certain period of time. No connection to characters, or they

Same here. Splatoon 2 is just much much better. Arms was fun but hasn’t pulled me back. Not to mention all the other games in my backlog.

So Blizzard wants their best pro players treated like actual people and employees of a company rather than “just gamers who should feel lucky to even be involved”.

It does have it’s own leveling system, but your character gets a large amount of EXP for finishing every 10 floors. The sweet spots seems to be running 51-60 a bunch. Plus you can earn some items and weapons through running it a lot. If you die though, you get nothing and it sucks. FATEs seem to be dry right now on my

Palace of the Dead runs and FATE parties.

I play arcade seriously and frequently have others on comms as well. And I agree a big part is probably the 3 free lootboxes. plus, if you start losing badly, everyone just thinks to themselves, “oh well, its just arcade. it will be over in a couple minutes and I’ll hop in another game”

An animated Overwatch netflix series

If leaks are to be believed (and they should, cause the same leaks predicted both Orisa and Doomfist), we’re getting two more characters this year. A defense hero is up next (possibly Hammond), then a support at Blizzcon.
