Not that they are bad live it's just that the vocals aren't that good. I saw them during the Crack the Skye touring cycle and let me tell you they sounded so bad (the vocals) it was really strange to listen to it. I guess I was just scarred for life back then.

Someone already mentioned it but my vote goes to Radiant Historia too. Even though the soundtrack hasn't that many tracks it's still fantastic. Then again I shouldn't be surprised since the soundtrack was composed by Yoko Shimomura. And the game is amazing as well so if you haven't played it yet, go play it.

Well, the tickets are 99$ so that probably helps. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the PAX tickets are priced at around 60$ (for 3 days instead of Minecon's 2). And the rest of the money comes thrpugh sponsors I think.
