There's a word for that, too, you know. It's called fremdschämen and it basically means what you described. To feel somewhat embarrassed for the action of a stranger. It's a really stupid word and it shouldn't be used because it's a product of (in my opinion) the stupidity of the media.

You do know that € and british pound aren't the same ? Often we have to pay the same price for the Steam version as for the retail version. Just because the UK's in Europe doesn't mean it's the same way everywhere else. Sure the price drops eventually but in the beginning it's about the same.
