Yes that might sting a bit, but it's still just a mass emailer. It's not like someone was targeting you to poke fun at your situation, y/k? It doesn't seem outrage worthy to me at all.

I'm fine with the decision to have this guy leave the publication. I still think it's crazy that Colleges have any kind of arbitration system to deal with sexual assaults on campus.

Agreed. This doesn't sound any different than working for a generally terrible boss in any profession.

I'm so happy for you and you mom. The 20th anniversary of my mother's passing (from cancer) is coming up next month. I submitted my PhD thesis (with viva [=defense] coming up in a fortnight) and it was dedicated to her. She had always thought I was clever and wrote in her final letter to me and my little sister that

My mom is baller.

Oh god all the feels.

Just a warning for my fellow Jezzies who are also Gawkerites: The comments on the Gawker version of this article are infinitely depressing.

I'm sure this isn't always the case, but imagine being a little girl at one of those camps. Imagine dreaming of being a cheerleader throughout your childhood, putting those women on a pedestal and not being able to comprehend that there might be a downside. Dance class, gymnastics, years and years of cheering through

You know, I support this boycott but it would be nice to see this same kind of outrage directed at them because of their treatment of WOMEN and not just gay men.

"I have never met anyone who lived in California who was less than 100% enthusiastic about what a great place it is to live."

Additional backstory: He's jealous because she was recently sitting courtside at an NBA playoff game with Nelly.

He didn't deliver advertising circulars?

Dang! Donating them is such a good idea! Mine were addressed to Nunya Biznas. I mean...

Oddly, the exact same thing happened to me. I got a bunch of samples of baby formula with a fake name on the box. Angila Hawk is not my name. I got half a dozen of them before they stopped sending them. I just donated it to a women's shelter.

His mother will be sending him howlers from the grave.

Could he be more gorgeous, all dressed up in his shirt and tie. I'm so glad he got away.

Good on their coach for not ID'ing them. I have severe doubts these are the only people who did this, and naming and shaming them accomplishes what exactly? A sense of righteousness?

I feel like this is all for page views. It's some kind of a deal, but it's not what it's being made out to be. And the attention Deadspin is giving to it is simply just throttling the needle in the wrong direction. So, what, you're going to out every bandit who runs now? Let's think logically about this...

Seems fine to me - some employers get huffy when you try to negotiate salary, and you risk leaving a bad taste, but obviously you did not.
