The movie was good in places, but overall I don’t think it stood the test of time. The book, however, I adored.

Escape to Witch Mountain by Alexander Key. When I was in Elementary School, I signed this book out so many times, my name filled both sides of the library card. The characters shown on the cover here don’t quite match my mental image of them, but that’s fine.

I loved this game. It is still, by far, one of the best super hero RPGs out there. We tweaked the character creation system a bit - you didn’t have to roll anything, you simply selected what traits your character had, and played as-is - and no other roleplaying game was ever designed to quite handle that kind of

I’m sure he can still do good.

Society also tells you there’s a time and place for such things. On the job is not one of them.

“We’re trying to have a goddamn society here”. Best line ever. :) You rock.

Remember Ninja Gaiden on the NES? It reminds me of that. Gah.

I hate what they did with Cyclops. I liked him more when he was an actual leader, had to bear the responsibility of that leadership, and had to be the straight man - accepting the burden of the fact he’s responsible for the safety of everyone else.

The difference between Rowling and Lucas is Lucas went back and actually modified his movies. Rowling’s saying ‘I would have done this differently, upon reflection’. She’s not altering anything. Or, say, Douglas Adams, who actually rewrote some of his earlier books. Which is kind of weird.

Strangely, when I first made a Drow, I decided to go for Neutral Evil. It ... went fairly well.

It looks like you had a great time, and that’s cool to see. :) You knocked it out of the park, and you seem like an awesome person. Kudos!

“At least”? It was the strategy, which caused his opponent to forfeit.

My I suggest looking at Nightmare Chess? I’ve played it, and it’s a very interesting game.

Significantly different game, but I can see where one might draw similarities. And I enjoy the hell out of Othello.

I took the time to educate myself on GamerGate. I read the articles on both sides. And you know what? Actions speak louder than words. Fingerwagging when someone who supports GG and saying ‘they’re not part of our group’ doesn’t count. When someone who says they’re Christian does something a different Christian

Okay, let’s use the Wayback Machine, and take a look at things like Warner Brothers, who targetted adults and children with their cartoons. The kids got the jokes on one level, and the adults got the jokes on another level.

Eh, a friend’s already written that fic.

1) There’s no reason In Hell this needs to be connected to Gaiman’s Sandman / Lucifer character.

Being a Guild Wars 2 player, I find this cool, though I kind of wish they’d do what they did in GW1, which is to send Dhuum to kill and autoban the account.
