Oh, then what did they do at Calgary Expo? Because if they didn’t do that, they’d not have been thrown out. And, specifically, you did accuse Sarkeesian, et-al, of doing that.

Really? So, how many conventions have they snuck into? How many did they lie to when they registered to get in? Oh, and how many panels did they disrupt? Simple answer: None.

Seriously? If someone on the ‘left’ lied to get into a convention, then actively disrupted panels, they’d be kicked out just as much as someone on the right. This isn’t about politics, this is about lying, and being disruptive.

I’m impressed. Though one of the self-challenges I saw which made me laugh was the ‘pacifist’ necromancer run on Diablo 2 at the hardest setting. That impressed me all to hell too. (Don’t kill anything except bosses needed to complete quests. Not a single other thing is allowed to die)

Exactly. In fact, Bill and Ted's credo is perfect.

Exactly.

Actually, as a feminist, I'll put it this way.

I wound up singing the Ladybug Picnic yesterday. For no reason at all.

Double Post. Ignore.

"Again, just honestly asking - so in your view, ANYONE could claim the label and they become a feminist."

Actually, I'm a feminist SJW, as is my wife. We both think the character's pretty awesome. :)

Being a SJW, I actually find the character awesome (and reasonably attractive, actually). I have absolutely zero issues with this character.

You know, if comics actually followed a more normal timeline (where time passed closer to a normal rate, much like Marvel's Ultimate line did), there would be no need to do reboots. A character could retire, someone else could take the mantle, and stories would continue. If a character died, it wouldn't necessarily

I saw what they did to Mortal Kombat X. They made the women look more human. You know what? I liked it. Then I saw a bunch of people flip their lid and say the game was 'ruined', because the women look closer to normal women.

Exactly. Which I think is the right way to do it.

No. She wants women to have a role besides 'victim'. You can have people in a position of crisis that has nothing to do with 'oh, your girlfriend is in danger'. The person could be in danger because of their occupation, their knowledge, their relation to the main character, and it could be a guy or a girl, but it

There are many women and men who are spearheading this campaign. She's just one of the few that's had the target painted on her chest. That doesn't mean she should suddenly quit.

No, allowing male gamers to kill female characters doesn't 'perpetuate the fantasy'. It allows for the mindset of "that's an opponent". You don't play up the target's sexuality, you just make them another person. That's not pandering. That's having art reflect life.

That's another thing I like about Guild Wars 2. Your enemies are typically spread evenly between men and women. And there's nothing sexualized about your enemies, either.

They're allergic to 'fair' and 'rational'. ;)
