There's plenty of cool gear. There's skins available in the Black Lion Store, there's the different cultural armours, there's the new Ascended Armour you can craft yourself, there's the ascended gear you can get from doing the new Fractals (5-part dungeons), there's the dungeon armour, and then there's the legendary

I don't think the dungeons were nerfed. The LFG thing is a nice touch though. It's just people know what they're doing in the dungeons these days, and are usually going in with better gear (removing magic find was a good step).

I've been playing since GW1, and still log in every day if possible. I don't bother with the dungeons - haven't done a number of them - but I don't mind. With me, wandering around the countryside is enough. Mind, I have found an excellent group for taking down Teq - so I do that when I can. Getting a Teq mini

When I married my wife, she kept her last name. When we have a kid, the kid's getting her last name, not mine. Why? Because 1) my last name is not my biological father's, 2) my mom divorced the guy who's last name I'm carrying, and 3) I figure she gave birth to the kid, it should have her name. I'm not

This article is exactly what I want to see from time to time. Thank you for putting it here. I hate how people think 'you're poor, you're not allowed to have nice things'. Screw them. You want to do more than just survive, you want to live, from time to time. Having the odd nice things, or the chance to unwind,

hey say it is corporate policy that employees are not allowed to make any mention of the restaurant on social media..

Okay, this was a long article, so I won't address everything about it, but let me explain to you why I don't like the new Transformers movies. I went into the first one hoping I'd enjoy it, and came out of it thinking it wasn't too bad. I went into the second one hoping it'd be better than the first, and came out

I'm of the opinion that more video games should punish death. For Alien, as an example, what if you had to start over when you die? Give the character attributes that increase over time as you get through the game. Die, you start over, fresh character, and need to work up once more.

Okay, reading this makes me want to make a pacifist in Guild Wars 2. Equip no weapon, for the entire game. Get XP from crafting and gathering. That is all. I may have to do this now...

Why not try to change the world? It is unacceptable, so stand up to it.

Yes, trolls can hurt you. There's enough evidence of that, thank you very much.

Who would get offended? Anyone with basic human empathy. My #1 rule when I'm online is 'don't be a dick'. I don't use language online I'd use with my friends. I try to be polite, I try to be empathetic, and I'm willing to dig in my heels and stand my ground on the idea of basic human decency. So yes, I get

The best one I heard was in Vancouver - it played Musicbox Dancer. Our local one does Turkey in the Straw, though.. or did last year. This year, I think it's playing classical music.

When I saw the pale gray pony with the red scar over one eye and the beard, trying to tame a cerberus, I was sure they had Kratos from God of War in the show - but the voice didn't fit. :(

Seriously, the complaints I'm seeing in your article about religion seems to point specifically at the "Faiths of the Book" - Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and so forth. As one of your friends said - there are a lot of good lessons in some religions on how to be a good person. Some people feel a spiritual call -

When I played Alpha Centauri, I went with Deidre Skye (Gaia's Stepdaughters), and tried for the most peaceful route I could with my faction. The thing is, I teamed up with Santiago time and time again, and essentially would go 'here, I'll give you my military technology as I develop it, and throw you at my enemies'.

Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 both do it, and ArenaNet's doing incredibly well. Shadowrun Online will also offer either F2P or B2P, at the choice of the player, for the game - so that makes B2P an option there as well.

How do you feel about B2P? You pay for the game once, and do not need to purchase a single thing ever again afterwards? The shop will have cosmetic benefits, but are not necessary for playing the game at all?

Yep. Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2, right there. :) Buy to Play is my preferred model. I've tried the odd F2P games, and I don't like the fact that they offer perks you buy in the store, or that they could be grind fests. And I refuse to even look at a subscription-based game.

The thing is, it makes sense for there to be inanimate Pokemon. If it is inspired by the creatures of Japan, that should include awakened objects.
