"Scrub friendly"? I've often wondered why VF's not been in Evo, since it is a damn good fighting game. I'm also surprised not seeing Soul Caliber here, since two years ago (was it that long ago), it was rocking Evo.

I really wish I'd gone into the business, because if any employee came forward to me with stories of harassment, there would be heads rolling. Hearing stories like this makes me so angry - that they'd have to put up with this kind of crap constantly.

Of course. :) I wouldn't say you're doing it wrong though - if it worked for you, then kudos. But if someone's having trouble, giving a bit of a guide doesn't hurt.

A number of my guild members are people I ran into accidentally from running around. You see someone who isn't in a guild, you hang out and help them for a bit, they join your guild, and get to know you better.

Got a few friends in GW2, so that isn't a problem. It's designed for social play.

What grinding? For ascension trinkets, we just do our dailies, which is about 20 minutes of play, and get a laurel. Enough laurels, you get an ascended item. Or, alternatively, crafting for ascended weapons and armour. I wouldn't call any of that grinding, really - most of the materials you can get from the Black

Ask, and ye shall receive!

Okay, that's just awesome. I remember one group doing the sailor senchi, but this is inspired!

As a diabetic, I approve of this. Xylia would be better though, I think. Still, it's a drastic improvement. Unfortunately, I still can't drink it because it has caffeine, and I have to avoid caffeine (or I get vicious kidney stones).

Quick! Get the Jaegers!

Personally, I'm for this: If they're in the same weight category, and they're both willing, let them. Even if you're looking at people of the same sex in the same weight category, there can be a lot of differences - reach, height, build. Then there's the difference between weigh-in weight and fight weight, which

The thing that makes me laugh is 'real ninjutsu'. Ninjutsu was a sub-aspect of other martial arts - Jujitsu for example. Evasion techniques, attacking from surprise, and other facets that we relate to ninjutsu was just a narrow category of a larger martial art system. The idea of ninjutsu being an actual martial

I wouldn't go that far - I don't consider Jango's reply to be a personal attack, it is more a reaffirmation of 'consensual reality'. I'm sort of in the same boat - when I deal with fictional characters, I tend to keep them confined to 'official canon' rather than going with personal preferences.

Interesting concept. She can be whatever anyone wants us to be - but only to the individual. As part of the collective however, she's who the company says she is.

Hmm. I don't know. The UFC are the owners of the fighters, manage some of the fighters, and pick all the fights, and they're doing fairly well. There might be other sponsors as well, just not video game sponsors. MMA is a 'big thing' right now, specifically because the UFC holds all the cards in how they promoted

Actually, I'll say it here: Signing up to play LoL professionally is, as far as I can tell, the same as a mixed martial artist signing up with the UFC. Sure, you're an athlete, but unlike other sports, you're not part of a division, you're 'owned' by a single company, to fight other people in that company. If you

Consider LoL professional players as in the same category as UFC fighters. You're in a contract to do MMA for the UFC. If you're shown on video doing MMA with another circuit, you can probably consider your contract with the UFC null. This is the same thing, apparently. You're an employee of LoL, and as such,

The only thing that bothers me about this, really, is the concept of 'presence'. The ship is 'warping' from place A to place B. Is it in tangible space when this happens? If yes, what happens to objects along the path? Do these objects 'warp' around the craft, as space contracts and expands?

They're not moving, so there's no shift in time. Space is warping around them, and carrying them to a location, and this is done in a manner which has nothing to do with 'speed'. Because they're not moving (in a normal sense), the time of those who are travelling, and the time of those who are observing, will be the

This is why I like Guild Wars 2. The armour's all over the spectrum, and can look really good. My sister's got a female warrior wearing head-to-toe plate, you can't even see her body through it.
