My best guess is that it’s a really misguided attempt at peacocking. So many stupid fads fall under the category of “when peacocking goes wrong.” Yet the fads persist, so maybe Idiocracy is happening right in front of our eyes.

Watched both and I’ll give BP the nod, but neither lived up to the hype. I’d say both were merely average superhero movies. That’s an improvement for DC, though.
