You’re not missing anything.

You make this sound like parties suck and if I stay sober long enough I’ll realize that. Well, yeah no one has fun as the only sober person in the party.

Yeah, I tried to convey I’d just heard that somewhere and was not stating it as fact. I thought 50 calories/day was depressingly low, so that’s even more depressing. Thanks for the correct info!

Ok, to answer your questions: I’m a little older than you two and I’ve never been chubby.

They want to think they’re doing everything they can be reasonably expected to do, so if the results aren’t there they can feel like it was never in the cards for them and they can return to life w/o exercise.

it’s hard work maintaining them (nonstop dieting)

So true. But it seems nobody ever wants to hear that!

The Canadian side is a bit of a shit show with the mall and outlets and glitzy crap. I wish it had more of a national part vibe than whatever you want to call its current vibe.

People buy patches and pins? Who knew?!

+1 for the basic concept

I’ve taken classes in both macro and microeconomics and understand the topics quite well. But you, on the other hand, don’t seem to understand even basic finance. The idea that people might as well spend their money when they’ve got it or else it’ll get wiped out the next time they get sick and miss work is

Thanks! People seem to think any exception invalidates my notion even though I specifically said there are exceptions. I also said “a lot of people are poor because...” which doesn’t mean everyone. I didn’t realize that would be lost on so many people here.

Neither arrogant or particularly young. But I am old enough to know that “a lot of people” does not mean every single person. I did specifically mention “there are exceptions” and you very well may fall into that category. Reading comprehension and paragraphs are not for everyone.

That’s a generalization. Anecdotal would be if I said something along the lines of “yesterday this one thing happened” or the most common response I’ve gotten which is “I’m poor because of [this very specific reason which doesn’t entail bad decisions] which means you are wrong.”

What is wrong? Are you disagreeing that a lot of poor people are poor due to bad decisions? Do you think very few people are poor for that reason? What people seem to miss is that “a lot” does not mean “every single person” because most of the dissenting opinions back up their stance by pointing to a single person or

C’mon. I always see people saying this, but it’s just not true. There is full representation in the industry. What it does is give people the full spectrum of options and they are able to make their own decision as to what they like. Turns out that a lot of people don’t find floppiness to be aesthetically pleasing.

wtf

This is just so wrong. I mean, how do you really believe this logic? You act as if there is some magical bankruptcy clause that people get to invoke constantly so that it doesn’t matter if they don’t have any savings when they have an unexpected expense. You act like the end result is exactly the same. It’s bizarre

The real story here is Kate Grace’s (& Molly Ludlow’s) absolutely killer abs. Very impressive.

I’ve done a pretty thorough job of that. I suspect you haven’t.
