I’m not saying people can simply bootstrap themselves out of poverty, but that there IS a large % of people living in poverty that have zero chance to get out if they don’t make better decisions. Not everyone is actually making a decision between “a second roll of toilet paper and keeping the lights on.” If that’s

Eh, there are some correlations but this doesn’t prove causation. A lot of poor people are poor due to bad decisions and/or lack of forward thinking, such as not purchasing toilet paper in bulk or on sale.

This seems a little nit-picky. Sure, you’re not strapped in, but IF you want to get around, you MUST be in one, thus you are essentially confined although not literally.

I hadn’t thought about that, but you’re right. The 928 was a very attractive car. I’m sure they could find a market.

It does look much better, but like someone else said, looks a lot like the model S from the profile now. Still, I’ve never seen a 4dr look as good as the Fisker Karma. Too bad that didn’t work out. Although I’ll always be a 2dr cpe guy. I like my cars nimble.

Yeah, I made a second post (since I don’t see a way to edit) acknowledging that. Never been interested in the Panamera, but always assumed that awful looking bulge in the back was necessary to house an engine. Had no idea it was purely a terrible aesthetic choice.

Nevermind. I never liked the car so never looked into it. Always assumed the ugly bulge was due to the engine being back there. So I guess it is possible the spoiler is functional since it is actually a F/R setup.

Disregard that about the rear-engine. I’d always assumed that ugly bulge was to hold an engine. Never been interested in the Panamera so never bothered to look into them.

Nevermind. That bulge in the back apparently isn’t to hide an engine. Never paid much attention to the Panamera, so always assumed it was R/R due to the profile.

Great comparison.

This is a most excellent breakdown. I had very, very, very similar thoughts as I watched it. And actually couldn’t make it all the way through. Just too painful. This commercial is a great embodiment of why I will never own a Porsche even though the Cayman GT4 really interests me.

You think it is functional?

My question is: does the car even need it?

Meh. Better looking? yes. Still funny looking? yes.

two of mankind’s great pleasures, drinking and traveling. Go ahead and read it if you want to better empathize with an 11-year-old’s idea of what a rich guy does.

Total clickbait. Intentionally misleading. But FWIW, it did trick me into clicking and even though it wasn’t what I was expecting, it was very interesting and I don’t regret reading it. I doubt I would’ve clicked if the title had been more honest.

Dat smile tho

Ah, gotcha. You confused me with the “I’m the same way” comment when the OP basically only drinks 1-2 drinks at a time, which just doesn’t compute for me. I either drink to get a solid buzz (or more) or I don’t drink at all. 1-2 drinks will just make me tired and maybe a bit lethargic.

I’m genuinely curious, can you define why you drink? I struggle with blackouts myself, but I only drink in social settings, so I’m always curious what the motivation is for people who drink in secret and/or by themselves.

I’ll ask you the same question I asked the OP, what is your motivation for that 1 drink (or 2 drinks)? I’ve got a problem with blackouts, but have zero interest in having a singular drink. Or two. If I’m not in a social situation getting drunk, I’ve got no use for a small amount of alcohol. But I’m very curious about
