What kind of “experts” don’t suggest a Honda Accord Sport 2.0T which is a similar motor to the Type R.   Comes in a Manual Transmission and is a great family sedan and what I’d expect would be Honda reliability. 

This has been debunked quite frequently on here. Electric is almost always cleaner than ICE, even when non-renewables are part of the generation mix.

Hydrogen isn’t going to happen in the U.S. Hydrogen tanks in a moving vehicle are even scarier than a lithium ion battery, hydrogen leaks out of EVERYTHING because the molecules are so small, it’s much easier to deliver electricity to the end user rather than hydrogen, and you still have to go somewhere to fuel up…

Also worth noting is that Ford still has a whole boat load of federal subsidies available, which tesla already burned through making cars and still can only muster something $4k less expensive than this first try.
