Based on reviews and friend's feedback, I decided to skip Rage. Now I can see what all the hype was about without throwing down $60 for it.

I don't hate the game at all. I never said that. I simply think that people are putting far too much faith in Elite and it clearly isn't for me.

A million fools and their money are easily parted. I know most people paid for Elite for the maps, but I'll bet you that those map packs are conveniently delayed and delayed so you may only get one or two in a year.

Halo, Battlefield and just about every other FPS has hundreds of videos just like this. It happens once in 100,000 games and you are pissed about it? Seriously?

Honestly, the Elite service is total crap anyway. You don't need it AT ALL for the game to be fun and enjoyable, so why is everyone making such a fucking fuss about it?

It is an "M" rated game. It is supposed to have some more mature moments and themes.

It is easy. You need a full 5 man team (with microphones), you need to play on either Overpass or Sandbar and if you get a bad boss spawn at 40 or 50 (Gunkers or Lambent Berzerker), you can wipe and you will eventually get a new boss spawn.

I just played through Half-life again just last month and it is just as good as ever.

Gearbox is a fucking class act, man. I have a lot of respect for them as people and developers.
