I kind of felt that way about the questing too. The combat felt pretty awesome for the first 10 hours, and the world and final fantasy music were a nostalgia trip. Buuuut, it lost its sheen after the 100th "kill 10 enemies in this area" quest.

just wait until the end-game content, where you have to memorize where to stand in place for each fight or you wipe, thats when I began to stop playing
