First - I think the issue for most people is the NCAA’s pigheaded refusal to make an exception in this case, not the ‘letter-of-the-law” on whether he broke the rule or not.  Personally the issue of setting a precedent here seems to be more about setting a precedent requiring the NCAA to actually make reasonable…
