You can’t just calculate the average speed. In the original extreme case the average spped is also (20 +0)/2 = 10 mph.

Having the requisite male anatomy I can attest to the fact that having my parts hanging out while paddleboarding makes me not more nor less seasick than paddelboarding while clothed.
