I find it hilarious that Randy Pitchford referenced goatse and 2girls1cup. That is all I have to contribute.

That's a good point. I figured once they started messing with video games in the US it would trickle down to us anyway.

Knocked down 7-2 for not complying with the first amendment. Nice... I guess? As I'm not in the US and only had a vague awareness of this case, I'm not really even sure what overall impact it would have had on the games industry. Then again, I live in Australia where we don't even have an adult rating for games, so

I get smooshed iamges, but I'm running an older version of IE. I'm at work so my computer is a bit primitive.

Fair enough. I personally waited until I was about 10 hours in before I said "yep, I want the DLC" and grabbed the Rockstar Pass. So... yeah. I never, ever buy DLC for rental games.

Just out of curiousity, why did you buy the Rockstar Pass if you didn't own the game?

ON one hand, I agree with you. When I saw the Apocofists pounding people into jam, I thought "ok, they've gone too far". But you know, they're only giving us the tools to shape our experience.

As I said, 99% of the time the bonus is a shortcut, you could just work harder or play more and get it free.

It's the addiction. They give you something for free and you get along fine. Then you get an opportunity to pay for something. A bonus, a shortcut, something. 99% of the time you could get it for free by worknig a bit harder or waiting a bit longer. But eventually you crack. you pay the $1 or whatever.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...

I don't play TF2 so take whatever I say with a grain of salt, but I believe the hats are random unlocks and free - and purely cosmetic.

I liked Oblivion but I couldn't get into it. I loved Fallout 3. New Vegas is growing on me, though I hated how buggy it was at launch. Normally people read game guides because they're stuck on a game. I was actually using guides written by people who had figured out how to circumvent a bunch of common game-breaking

Or any USB stick since the 360 supports that now.

I think it was intended as ironic self deprication. I get the impression Voldy is totally interested in the map.

Because people who like Call of Duty aren't allowed to have opinions on the internet? Man, I love gaming fanboys. They make the most sense of anyone ever.

I'm mainly interested in Skyrim because Oblivion was my first Elder Scrolls game and I didn't really get into it. I've since played Fallout 3/New Vegas so I feel like I'm more in tune with what this style of game is about. Really, I think it was just a matter of never having played a game with that kind of scale and

I don't know why I'm excited about this, but I am.

Over on Kotaku/Gizmodo Australia they had a debate about this while PSN was still down - the guys were wondering why Microsoft wasn't taking advantage of the situation to sell more Xbox 360s. Fact of the matter is they don't really have to do anything - just that this happened puts them at an advantage.

Eh, I already bought the game knowing there'd probably be around 5 DLCs like Fallout 3. I don't have a problem with paying for them, just the timing of them.

Which five years ago would have seems like a really great idea. I guess as I guess older, I need more of a break between similar games - especially since there's so much else I want to play. I don't really want to go directly from New Vegas to Skyrim.
