@Hammo2: Hey, they haven't published an Activision game yet! Give them time.

@eXo: Adventure games with quicksave functions are not what I was referring to when I think of games with poor stories. Maybe I didn't communicate it well, but I meant games with unforgiving deaths fell into two categories - the adventure games with good stories which compensated with quicksave functions, and then…
@SpacePirateCaine: Well yeah, the Sierra devs knew they were making an impossible game... so they made them bearable with humour, and let you learn from your mistakes with quicksaving/loading.
The thing is, those older games either had only a basic story to string the levels together, or had quicksave/quickload functions that nerfed the impact of dying a bit, especially on subsequent playthroughs. I mean I could finish any Space Quest game (except maybe 4) from memory today without dying, but on those first…
@Variatas: While I'd agree System Shock 2 was the better game, and probably to date one of the finest games ever, the fact that System Shock was ingored in it's entirety is a slap in the face. They could have thrown in system Shock 2, then given a nod to Bioshock as well.
What about Portal? That was a far more exciting innovation in the FPS genre and would have nicely rounded out your 8 year gap between Halo and MW2.
@ddhboy: Really? The respect meter was really unobtrusive for me and the diversions were actually pretty fun. I think I had my meter maxed out 7 times over before I seriously started cracking on the story missions, and by the point racking up respect was so easy I didn't really have to think about it.
@darkmoonfirelyte: Yeah, don't bother paying for the DLC. The two packs add a total of 6 missions, which will take maybe 2 hours to burn through and don't add anythnig significant to the story. You do get extra cars, but you can't upgrade them in any way whatsoever.
@ddhboy: I'm hoping the 3D gaming fad has fizzled out before the next generation of consoles hits the market. I have no intention of buying a 3DTV and I don't want to pay extra on my next console because it's been designed around a feature I have no intention or capability of using.
@bakura: Disagree. Saint's Row 2 was awesome. While I wouldn't be against a new IP, I'm all for some more Saint's row action before then.
@Windrummerboy: Halo 2 didn't, but I think they fit right in to Halo 3.
@d20Dark: Halo 4: Start Another Fight
@mind in rewind: I assume he must be talking about the Knights of the Old Republic games or something.
@Eyhren: You know, even if the plot of reach is nothing more than a desperate fight to give The Pillar of Autumn enough time to get out of there with Master Chief on board, I'd be satisfied.
@C_MaN15: I wouldn't mind seeing a Halo 4 where a group of Marines search for the chief, get hooked into fighting off some terrifying big-bad, and the Chief sort of appears out of nowhere and stomps it's ass flat in the third act.
@PsychoNun: You said they weren't relevant, and the lack of relevance was "in your opinion". I was wondering to whom you felt the games were no longer relevant. You meant to yourself. Thank you for clearing that up.
@PsychoNun: Not relevant? To who, you? Or the millions of people who still enjoy playing Halo 3? Help me out here.
@dowingba: He probably assumed you hadn't finished it yet.
@Cedric-the-Threep: You guys are all crazy, I have a perfectly good floor and don't need these bullshit couch expansion packs to have a good time.
@Paradox me: Technically that Kinect would be a witness.
