@slotter: A process failure by Microsoft has exactly what to do with the quality or price of the DLC content?

@interrogator_chaplain: Yeah, then they have to contend with Microsoft too... they ultimately control pricing of marketplace content. A few devs have butted heads with them in the past trying to get content released for free via the XBLM.

@rb1971 - E39M5'er: Well, problem solved - due to popular demand they're putting the new maps into all playlists sooner rather than later - Bowlnig promised last night due to overwhelming demand, so it's probably done by now.

@Patrick Boyle: It took me about 8 hours (rough estiamte - did it across three nights after work) on Hardened on my first playthrough, but then I'm not awesome at FPS games and don't claim to be.

@interrogator_chaplain: We'll wait and see on that. So far the DLC they've offered has been unlocking new game modes for existing maps, so long as you have a VIP code (which you do so long as you bought the game new).

@henhowc: Too bad challenges don't count. My wife had a bunch of her favourite guns sitting at <10 kills away from her prestige challenges in expectation of the double exp weekend.

@rb1971 - E39M5'er: You act as if the maps will never be introduced into FFA or Deathmatch modes, or that they're not available for you to explore in private matches.

@vladiulnik: And many sheep gamers who won't?

@GoonerVance: Once again you're making assumptions about the maps not being tweaked at all. However I'll go ahead and take that I Told You So and hold onto it for later if it makes you feel any better. I'm sure there'll be comparison videos up by the end of the day.

@James Henderson: They should totally include their next minigame in Blur, if they have one in the pipes. Too bad Blur doesn't (appear to) have the roaming around the garage feature of PGR.

@GoonerVance: Using your scenario, does that mean I shouldn't have to pay full price for a 60 inch TV because I currently have 32 inch TV? I mean, I'm only getting 28 more inches! What a ripoff!

@Kermi: Major Nelson has just updated his Twitter to advise the patch is CURRENTLY in the process of going online.

@ThursdayNext: Well in all fairness the only time my PS3 has failed was when they clock glitch happened last month. Since we only use it to play DVDs right now (at least before and after playing through Heavy Rain) it didn't affect us.

@GoonerVance: Sorry, you lost me. Me buying five new maps I have never played on before is that same as someone buying a game and getting the ten maps they have never played on before included in the original pricetag and saying they're free because they haven't played them before?

@bodger1: I hope she calls you for a battle! Hopefully she's not in an early region though, nobody likes backtracking.

@ThursdayNext: So Microsoft managed to properly release a patch to update one game and not another. I have to say, I'm shocked and stunned at this unprecedented failing on the part of the Xbox Live team.

@bodger1: Hey, why should you waste valuable exp for the sake of a social life?

So, how about these new MW2 maps eh? AWESOME.

@GoonerVance: Sorry, you'll have to reserve the I Told You Sos for someone who previously played on Crash and Overgrown.

@GoonerVance: We're currently only assuming that Overgrown and Crash are direct ports. Until someone has the opportunity to play them we don't know what/if any optimization took place to balance them for the changes in MW2 over COD4.
