Honestly, the best customization for my Mac is Xtrafinder. Why? Cut and paste!
People often write of OS X as a restricted, un-customizable operating system. But if you know where to look, you can…
Hey now, we're talking about police officers here, not people who are, like, supposed to know the law.
Maybe I'm doing this wrong, because obviously having even 1 sex-offender is 1 too many... but... just for funz0rs, I Google Sex-Offender-Mapped Port St. Lucie, Florida, to see how "numerous" the registered sex offenders were in that area:
Well, I walked to and from school every day starting when I was six, so resplendent.mom is clearly a hardened criminal.
And she got fired. (Granted, from McDonald's, but still.)
So a source article says "there is no law that specifies how old a child has to be before he or she can go somewhere unsupervised. It's done on a case-by-case basis." But she had to pay $4,000 bond to get out of jail. For not breaking a nonlaw that doesn't exist. Hmm.

These lists have just become too long. I used to read them top to bottom when you first started this but as we've progressed they have overgrown into ridiculous length. I look at the "featured" picks and then move on. I think you need to go back to each blog having their related items in a list and have a separate…

My security system includes a beat-up old pickup truck with NRA and military stickers on it (visible from the street) and a very large dog (who is incredibly friendly, but they don't know that). Strangely, thieves do not like to see these things on their potential victims. I'd have a security system too if I could…
You know, I don't disagree with you here. I didn't think I'd use an iPad until I actually got one, and now I use it all the time. Sure, I don't use it as often as a lot of people I know, but it goes with me when my laptop doesn't, like on day trips to visit the family, and it's my universal "away from the computer"…
My great grandmother was right, it IS because I smell so sweet! I also think some of it is about how much we react to being bitten, as I have friends who are more "allergic" than others. I get welts that will last quite a while, while my SO clearly gets bitten and it doesn't bother him at all.
They have an entry in the country drop-down for "non European country," and they let you go through what must be a simplified process (it only shows 10 results), but when you try to proceed to the removal stage, you get this message: "This form applies to physical persons residing in Europe only. For the moment, you…
Dear Lifehacker,
As much as many of us would love to go paperless, it's just not possible for everyone. For those of us still…
Second that. It just works.
I'm really happy with spotlight. I love it to bits. Best thing about it is it's already there, so when I sit down at a different Mac (happens a lot) I dont' have to worry about whether they've got it installed.
Exactly what I was thinking. I use Launchpad, an Applications Stack, or Spotlight. That's all I need.
