@ginaromarienne: No. I believe that is what a sane woman whatever her emotional/societal pressures are, should be expected to do. Abort or abandon (to eliminate the shame). Do not kill.

@ginaromarienne: This one did. She could have abandoned the child on the plane or airport. Or she could have chosen to fly at a later time and delivered elsewhere. Or she could have had an abortion.

@ginaromarienne: All she had to do was walk away from the child and not actively kill it. She would have remained pure in the eyes of her society and the child would have a life. I don't believe that is too much to ask.

And I believe that she could have maintained the requirements of her society with just abandonment, not the killing. So if her defense is that her culture pressured her into this - I would not buy it. If it is insanity - that is another case.
