I don’t really agree that they were unfair to Albon, considering:

There have been a couple articles lately that have surprised me with the folks here that don’t seem to realize this.

I find it’s better to think of it as how much interest you’re paying over the term of the loan, not based on what you’re paying monthly.

Very well said. I tried “Drive to Survive” but couldn’t handle the manufactured drama. Years ago, all I would get is summaries in Road & Track months after the race, so when I started being able to watch it, I was excited.

It doesn’t even make sense to force a faster lane to yield to a slower lane. It should be the other way around. If you’re noodling around in the right lane, people need to be able to pass freely.

ABS shortens braking distance on even NC miatas...

Well I don’t have to dig mine out now. I was sure it was RWD too.

Y’know, I had thought it looked a little too small to be a Panther, but this is strong evidence pointing towards Ford.

ABS doesn’t shorten the braking distance in most situations, especially in older iterations. I’m guessing this experience was from the 80's or 90's, since now-a-days I believe ABS is required.

K-Car and not Panther?

I think the sprint race is here to stay, but I’ll never understand why we need a separate qualy session for it. Just go reverse-championship-standings for the sprint grid. This means you can have an extra practice session on Friday and just move the qualy session back to Saturday.

Other than those two issues, it really is a great hot rod Lincoln.  Cruises down the highway great, and for the time was quite fast.  I had a Navigator with the same engine, and it was a poor match for the truck (all the power high in the RPM range, you had to rev the snot out of it to tow anything) but it’s great for

I don’t love the color, but love the car. Good call.

This is the ultimate in American luxury coupes. The got this one just right.

2 big problems with the Mark VIII. First is the headlights. They are the among the worst ever put on a car. Second is the air ride. It fails a lot. It’s expensive to fix. However, the car needs it for a great ride. Put the aftermarket coil conversion on the car and the car rides a lot rougher. Friend of mine did it, I

Oh hell yes.  Cobra with a tuxedo.

I would love to see what the MK VIII would have looked like today if still in production (and not SUVified) I always liked these.  Plus they had the 32V modular motor

How do ratings in the UK work compared to the US?

After the departure of Clarkson/Hammond/May, did the show ever reach the same height of popularity?

There was a certain magic and chemistry among the Clarkson/Hammond/May crew that can’t be replicated. Each rehash, or localized version has tried to recreate their

Fuckin’ THIS.
