In my city (Albany, NY) and in the area I live the aerial truck responds to every.single.call. It is one of the massive tractor-drawn aerials with rear-wheel steering. This is a much better application for AI than most I’ve seen lately. I’m assuming it’ll basically just run millions of simulations based off known traffic data to see what happens if X light is green at Y time for Z length and trying to put the best set of light patterns together.
