There are three things I want in my car that exist in modern cars: adaptive cruise control, cooled/vented seats, and a back-up camera.

Rawdogging means precisely one thing, and it is not that.

If they bothered to swap in a less ridiculous and more modern transmission and kept the AC working, I’d be in on this price. It isn’t perfect, but it’s very cool. Pair those two issues with the dubious sourcing of the SBC swap and it’s a ND for me.

Love a commando shade tree mechanic. There’s a kid (and this time, I mean proper kid, probably 17/18) down the road from me that has a moderately beat up early 90s Chevy S-10. It must have some sentimental value or something because there’d really be no reason to hang on to it beyond that. Or maybe it’s just easy to

Gross.

Wonder how the handling dynamics of the thing were changed as a result.

He never was an environmentalist. Don’t be absurd. He was virtue signaling to start an electric vehicle empire - and it worked! Well, until he alienated all the people who would buy his poorly built cars by tripling down on supporting Trump and the other maga CHUD candidates.

Yeah, for sure. It’s a time and place thing. And if I was buying any kind of older car (or bike, if I was brave enough for such things), I’d be thrilled if it came with a box of spares.

I like it!

Lol. Accurate. Just a quick copy/paste. So, guilty of theft and bad cropping.

Sure seems it.

Yup. “Just needs” is your introduction to endless problems. A filthy lie indeed. I’ll buy a clapped out project car if everyone on both sides of the sale knows that’s what is for sale. But I won’t buy a car pitched as a working car when it “just needs” anything. It is a sure sign that the owner is in the process of

That is wild. Thanks for sharing that. Somehow never came across it!

In my city (Albany, NY) and in the area I live the aerial truck responds to every.single.call. It is one of the massive tractor-drawn aerials with rear-wheel steering. And it has to navigate all these small city streets and ends up going down one-ways the wrong way and blocking streets and it is just absolute chaos.

Yeah, the parts included one is always a good one. Unless it’s a proper project car I don’t want a box of parts to come with my purchase.

Yeah. It is a good illustration of why attaching the label AI to everything has rendered the term meaningless.

This is a much better application for AI than most I’ve seen lately. I’m assuming it’ll basically just run millions of simulations based off known traffic data to see what happens if X light is green at Y time for Z length and trying to put the best set of light patterns together.

“Just needs.” There’s no such thing as just needs. If it just needs a $300 freon charge do it and ask for $500 more. But you know it’s not that. It needs a $1,500 in compressor/clutch/lines work. If it just needs an 02 sensor to pass inspection, buy the $50 thing and put it in. But you know it’s not that. It needs

I just don’t quite understand why that plane is falling out of the sky the way that it is. I’m not sure I’ve seen anything like it.
