I thought the race was excellent, honestly. I wasn’t expecting much, and was just going to watch F1TV’s ‘race in 30' but in the end felt like I had time to watch the whole thing and I’m glad I did. There were some fascinating battles, tons of drama, interesting strategy calls, and a new (and first time) winner. And…

“We,” as in F1 fans who continued watching post all those things. If you stopped watching F1 because of that, or any of the other glaring issues, good for you. I still hypocritically watch it. 

Racing things not meant to be raced seems to always lead to hilarious, satisfying spectacle. I’d love to see one of these.

Gas mileage is a big one. A CVT can result in somewhere around 10% increased fuel economy compared to a traditional automatic, and this is important for new government-sanctioned mileage requirements.
