While I loathe Trump with every fiber of our being, I’d be curious if all of this backlash would exist if Biden went to the race. Trump somehow managed to avoid saying anything overtly political about his election bid. He’s just... a person. A shitty, orange, liar of a person. But surely he should be allowed to exist

Gas mileage is a big one. A CVT can result in somewhere around 10% increased fuel economy compared to a traditional automatic, and this is important for new government-sanctioned mileage requirements.

While I can tolerate the CVT in terms of driving dynamics (it’s meh, but fine, lets be honest the Forester isn’t fun enough to drive to matter) there are an awful lot of CVT failures and problems. It looks like the Ascent got it the worst. Problems abound there. Friend of mine had his transmission replaced at 28,000

Yup. Had a 2023 Forester rental and the infotainment was terrible. Also, on a drive through Joshua Tree the eyesight auto-braking sensed a large boulder on the shoulder ahead of us and failed to realize that the road turned to the left around it. It absolutely slammed on the brakes and almost caused a massive

Glad you mentioned this. And not only in a coma with a TBI, but multiple fractures to both legs and her pelvis.

Cool question. I don’t know. Although I feel like I think about it all the time.

I like it! I mean, who cares, I’ll never afford it or probably even see one. But, it reminds me of a thoroughly modernized 365 GTB/4. Especially the front and lights/bumper.

Yup. Exactly. This is a cheap watch dressed up. I'd happily pay $300 or $400 for it. But, not this price.

Quartz is excellent. But the movement has been long refined and is cheap. So, for me, the absolute upper limit is $500.

You and I have different definitions of “beautiful.” Unique? Striking? Quirky? Sure. But... not beautiful...

I was all in until I saw it was a Quartz watch. Lame.

Eric Adams is such a fucking putz.

This seems like more work than just bringing them back to the marina and throwing them out? They are already in bins... why didn’t they just leave them there? Maybe afraid about underage drinking charges?

Lol.

All the sketchy ass flights on regional carriers I took in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand boarded from the starboard side with mobile stairs out on the tarmac. Felt weird, but I was more worried about crashing.

HP lets me down every day at work, it should be no surprise they let me down here.

Hamilton and Verstappen at Ferrari for 2026! Grudge match with a Newey penned Ferrari. Imagine the drama DTS could drum up with that!

The plane is 33 years old. So... yeah... seems an unfair dig at Boeing, frankly. But, it sure doesn’t help their case any...

I shouldn’t have used practical in my comment, because as you point out there are practical reasons to lift a car. But, I still don’t think they should be allowed on road-registered vehicles. Vehicles are designed and tested on factory specifications and crash test information and vehicle safety information are based

Hell yeah.
