Is BaT for money laundering or something? It seems like virtually every car sold on that forum sells for a significant premium over what is reasonable or the market would support.

One thing buried in all these stories but a few is that Perez apparently admitted to intentionally crashing in Monaco, and that’s the reason Max is so mad.
Indeed.
Brutal to watch.
Like to hear the phrase “accidentally made the right choice.” It happens a lot, and I think it’s always good to say it out loud and acknowledge it. The world is so preoccupied with always making the right decision and always having a plan. But sometimes, things just fall into place one way or another, and often…
Law school at 35 was not that fun. Required working through first-year which sucked. But, in the end I enjoyed it. And now, years later, wish I could have just stayed there forever. Practicing law is way more stressful and difficult than law school... you may have made the right call...
Kind of sounds like the “honey, you need to sell that car because it costs us a fortune to keep it going” listing. So, he listed it, but knows its not going anywhere.
At $2,500 or $3,000 I’d be all in. But $7,000? This car just isn’t that interesting. Sure, it appears to be approaching time capsule condition, but... so what? It’s a 70hp econobox from 35 years ago. Is this what you drive in high school and you desperately need to relive that memory? Then I guess this is probably the…
Not sure if you are an old Top Gear fan, but on one of their Christmas gift exchanges, they showed an insert that you put behind the filler door. And when you opened the filler door, it loudly announced that ‘THIS CAR TAKES DIESEL FULE.” They all mocked, but... here we are..
If I win $1.9 billion, the first thing I’m doing is buying this. I adore this car. For no reason at all. So, for me, NP.
Yeah, I can’t imagine what merits making a full documentary about this case. Like you said, this case was read and discussed for, at most, five minutes because the claim was essentially frivolous and we needed to learn about offers that weren’t actually offers.
Oh man, we missed the rhyming case! That’s a bummer. Sounds fun. I had a surprising amount of rather entertaining cases. I guess you have to find something to make breach of contract cases entertaining enough to teach to a bunch of first-year law students.
You read this case in first year contracts during law school. It seems virtually every class reads it, and each year the reddit lawschool sub has a million memes and stories about it. I’ve had all I can handle about this case.
I've heard them cut off. They do sound amazing. But.... Not in a way I'd want to live with. No dice a million times over.
It’s pretty brutal. Goes well beyond modern into just... dystopian somehow. Like some sinister AIs approximation of a modern office.
Yes. Same. Otherwise, total NP.
I think pillows are the only bit of color they had, so they just threw them f’ing everywhere.
Yes. Exactly. It looks like the lobby of a “business-friendly” hotel with a thin veneer of “luxury” spread all over.
Meh. Automatic kills any interest I’d have in it. And I’m sure it’s been floored from every stop sign and traffic light over its entire 165k miles. Plus there’s no worse look than the murdered out or blacked out or whatever you want to call it. Instant judgment for any owner of one.
Eh, I plowed in a manual F250. It really wasn’t that bad, and it helps you stay awake and engaged when you’re plowing for 8 hours straight. The only thing that sucks is when you need to change the plow angle and shift and steer all at the same time. Which is why the torque comes in handy..
