So wait but the difference between a season of TV and an 11-hour movie seems to be that a film tells one story, where each episode of a TV show tells its own small beginning middle and end tale within the narrative of the over-arching season.

So... my question is, is there seriously only one middle beginning and ending

I wanted her and Keenan to be the only cast members to stick it out until the heat death of the universe.

The past participle of “tear” is “torn.”

People need to chill...

Screw that—I’m going to release a service that takes the 11-hour movie and plays it back at one frame per second for 11 consecutive days.

Give them a break, it’s not like it happened everywhere; it was an isolated incident that occurred at a mere 730 showings.

DeVito’s voice would harken back to the 80s/90s Lou Albano inspired Mario voice. Interesting to note that Martinet’s first instinct WAS to play Mario as a gruff, NOO YAWK style plumber --- which is exactly what Mario’s voice in Supershow/SMB3/SMW toons was.

These films could be the gateway to bringing back the ABC Friday Night Movie.

Holy ground, Highlander!

So eventually, Costner will chop Horizon up into its final form: 11 42-minute episodes

It’s an adaptation of a Philip K. Dick story, which has been its own little cottage industry for action stars and blockbuster directors (starting with Blade Runner, then Total Recall, and so on). Don’t get me wrong, I totally miss that era, but it’s not like it wasn’t some preestablished formula.

Good. The Hobbit movies and their dumb CGI orcs looked VASTLY inferior to the LOTR practical orcs.

I like both your points, it’s an interesting discussion. I would assume that the orcs of this era would be weaker and more akin to cannon fodder, as in the time of Morgoth the armies of evil were led by Balrogs and a Black Dragon, Sauron was zipping around as a giant Vampire bat and a literal Hell hound, so orcs were

It’s a miracle when a director makes two classics in one year. Spielberg’s done it twice: 1993 (Schindler’s List, Jurassic Park), 2002 (Minority Report, Catch Me If You Can). Any director would be happy making any of those four movies and Steven popped them out like a conveyor belt of Everlasting Gobstoppers

I almost feel like things should be the reverse. Orcs of earlier ages had to contend with the other races of middle earth at their strongest, in turn probably making orcs themselves more powerful by necessity. Not to mention the existence of morgoth followed by sauron should mean they should be organized and

If previous history has taught me anything , its that if you think De Vito would be good doing the voice, it turns out that Ryan Reynolds is actually better.

An elephant never forgets...to be petty AF.

I was curious so I checked the “source” material. The IGN story used silicon through the whole thing too. I think  90% of this post was cut and paste, including this ridiculous error.

Jokes aside elephants are extremely smart, extremely complex creatures with very long memories and if of a mindset can and will murder the fuck out of anything that ticks them off. There’s a reason poachers use high-powered weapons, because wounded ones are even more fearsome. It’s not uncommon for numbers of would-be

silicon = an element; a semiconductor used to make electronics and solar panels
