Apparently the basic platform & chassis are nearly the only things the two have in common (and a few random interior components, otherwise the rest of the Macan is all Porsche parts.

I can’t imagine the Supercrew is more fun to drive on any road with turns... or is a joy to park other than a wide open empty parking lot. Heavy duty trucks have their place, but folks who drive & park them in crowded urban parking lots and streets with barely room for regular sized cars to maneuver around, can go eat

It’s ok to be an idiot about those things as long as one can unapologetically own up to being said idiot, I applaud you. I can’t stand those who have the same tastes but try to convince everyone else that’s what they should want.

Nobody buys a Macan as a substitute for a Porsche sports car. This is purely in the discussion for those shopping in the CUV segment, and I agree, its a fun as a commuter CUV can get

I had a 4 cylinder base Macan as a loaner when my Cayman was in for service, the engine is what I’d call ‘perfectly adequate’ for the daily grind and going about town on your commute, but you hit the limits of performance super fast. Basically it’s the trim I’d buy my mom (she actually liked the Macan interior quite a

Further proof Routh is a great actor, he was just given poor dialogue and direction in Superman Returns

Close, its actually the scribble monster from the Dr Who ep ‘Fear Her’ I guess it had a tough time finding work after that one time on TV

He keeps busy and constantly produces and makes things. What have you provided for us lately? Put up or shut up

I dunno, calling him stupid and shaming that person might so some good in the long run

To be fair, your perspective is also biased selling to a primarily Jeep Chrysler Dodge customer base, I suspect a fair greater number of them tend to be underwater on their car loans versus those buying luxury brands.

Very true, the majority of TG fans under the age of 30 have zero clue the show began in the 1970s

Sorry but newsflash, Top Gear stopped really being a show about cars since, I dunno, seasons 11 or 12? It’s so gradually devolved into mainly jokes, stupid stunts and travel movies and the videos about car cover so little actual info that we car geeks want to hear, that we’ve barely noticed because of all the flash

Early to mid 90s fansubs tapes of popular import TV series, OVAs and films were pretty plentiful if you were part of an anime club in college.

On CD? lol someone hasn’t heard of listening to them in Audible or mp3 form on their smartphones.

LA lane splitters can go DIAF, so pissed it is legal in California. I’ve seen more than one car door mirror knocked off by motorcyclists who thought they could squeeze in spaces too narrow for them.

I never understood the obsession with travel during Thanksgiving, you want to see your family so badly, go plan the gathering the weekend BEFORE or AFTER Thanksgiving and avoid the sheer clusterfcukery of the airports & freeways.

The opposite, they’re dreading the sudden flood of claims pouring in that they cannot cover post earthquake

Having a manual car where you can only enjoy it for 4% of the time, the other 96% stuck in commuter traffic, is still dumb.

And thank god it’s no longer ‘Chris Evans’ Top Gear either

Here’s my theory why manuals are dying. They are only sought after by Jalops and as we know, most Jalops are cheap bastards who don’t believe in buying performance cars new (bad value, depreciation, etc) and will only buy them second hand, giving them ZERO power or say in what cars sell for new.
