Yeah but to be fair, Corvettes are a hell of a lot lower cars than most porsches and don't have the room for that classic Macpherson strut design? Someone tell me if im wrong and talking out of my ass...

The 997s are beautiful looking cars w MUCH better interiors than the 996. You made the right choice

Nah Im always rage filled but I appreciate the gesture

Just all nostalgia branding & marketing, i think its dumb to give them a whole new chassis code rather than refer to them as 981.2 chassis cars

I really hope you get your wish and find a wealth of used or CPO manual GTS Caymans but unfortunately most owners recognize already these cars are going to be the last if their kind. With 10% of all Caymans being GTS trim and only 10% of the GTS being manual, and ONLY being 2 model years (2015, 2016) your search may

Never mind the constant fear of non turbo 996 IMS bearing failure

If you have none to give me then stop replying. Are you new to internet forums? (its my way of suggesting to you to shut up)

Well said, just personally I feel far safer when I drive fast w a nice metal roof over my head, plus wind noise annoys the crap out of me and I hate excess sun exposure because I think skin cancer...

That car is absolutely gorgeous, congrats, mine isn’t a Boxster but I bought it recently

And the much lower price point of the Spyder makes it such a good value. I was shopping (and eventually bought) a 2016 Cayman GTS, they were difficult to find in manual and in the meantime my local dealership had a 981 Spyder in its inventory and they offered to sell it to me for the same price as one of the Cayman’s

That’s impressive, but doesn’t make owning a C5 vette any more attractive to me, sorry.

The only reason the 996 Turbo is so cheap is because many Porsche buyers still cannot get over the fried egg front of the 996 cars, myself included.

I bought my 2016 manual Cayman GTS exactly for this reason. As this calendar year ends and it will be impossible to buy these new, I am confident the cars and demand will go up significantly in the next 3 years, especially the non PDK versions. I’m currently leasing my car but will likely buy it after the lease is

They’re calling the new gen Caymans ‘718' as well, so its not just the boxster

Yes, its really good.

Yes but they’re a bit unfinished...

No I just want to attack you because what you said was incredibly stupid and lacks any kind of view of the big picture. It sounds like an internet juvenile but I’m guessing in real life you are a grown ass adult with a career, social life and tend not to say as nearly dumb things in face to face conversation

Where have I seen this before? Oh yes,Simpsons did it

Way to fail to comprehend mine, you speak like a close minded car nerd. I spesk with intelligence & grounded in the realities of the real world. And yes im deliberately insulting you.

There goes your local economy when folks cannot get to work & do their jobs. I assume your local public transportation infrastructure cannot suddenly handle all those non drivers.
