49 grand for a brand new Porche badge. And the people who want a Porsche badge this bad, will pay for that. Maybe none of us, but Porsche didn’t market this car towards us
Read other people's criticisms about the look of the new R8, most ppl hate the looks because they think it looks like an oversized TT, that is what Im referring and I'm sure you've heard that too
Not disagreeing with anything you said. I just like to grab every opportunity to criticize Roddenberry because I feel he us a bit over-revered and credited a bit more with ST than he should (much of what made TOS great should be credited to other writers and showrunners, but Gene likes to take the spotlight), he…
RS5 & RS7
Roddenberry cared primarily what appeared on the screen
Not really, later movies (like aforementioned Undiscovered Country) and series like DS9, really pick apart and deconstruct the fairly unrealistic utopia that Roddenberry created. He was all for big ideas, but not really putting in the thought to make these ideas actually make sense.
All computers would be based on Babbage Difference Engines and lets go crazy and have space travel, but they would be ‘etherships’
If i lived in DC, I think I would just pay for the private parking, sorry
What video link? I don’t see any in the main article
The ‘new R8 looks like a giant TT’ joke is getting played out, and in person, it looks much better than that
Well Jalopnik is an american website with mostly American readers, what do you expect?
Its a coupe, so of course the US is getting this, lately Audi has only had a problem sending sedan and estate versions of their RS cars to this side of the Atlantic
Makes sense to me
In the original japanese show, he was dead. His character had a twin brother and that’s who they portrayed as ‘Sven’ on the prison planet
Who did she play I don’t remember her in that movie
Because Gene Roddenberry is a human so he wanted to see a Federation run by humans. He talks big game about a bright, utopian future where all are treated equally...but that applies to humans only, apparently. He could give a sh** about the other alien races.
That genderswapped combining giant robot show was already done in the late 80s, its called Dangaioh. All girl pilots with one token dude
right....sent to a medical planet to ‘recuperate’, much like how your pet dog was retired to a ‘farm in the countryside’
I went ahead and spoiled myself on the plot online, this is a totally separate movie & story from Cloverfield. You can go an enjoy it as a movie on its own
