If i lived in DC, I think I would just pay for the private parking, sorry

What video link? I don’t see any in the main article

The ‘new R8 looks like a giant TT’ joke is getting played out, and in person, it looks much better than that

Well Jalopnik is an american website with mostly American readers, what do you expect?

Its a coupe, so of course the US is getting this, lately Audi has only had a problem sending sedan and estate versions of their RS cars to this side of the Atlantic

Makes sense to me

Again, which city do you live in, because not all metropolitan/urban areas and their residents are created equal. Some owners with nice cars do not like parking them on the streets of their respective cities for a reason

It would help if you told us what city/metropolitan area you live in. knowing that would tell us factors like :seasons, weather, congestion, types of drivers, parkers, etc

“If it doesn’t have a manual, it’s not a real car”

What’s wrong w going at a steady speed in the R Lane and leaving the L Lane open for,I don’t know, people who need to pass or want to go faster than you?

You’re upset by more choice for more buyers?

Agree w you 100%. Former 2007 Spec B owner myself

In North America, at least, the Legacy peaked with the BL/BP generation of cars. I had a 2007 Spec B with the Sti 6 speed. Really great car and arguably one of the only conventionally attractive Subaru’s on the market

that’s an issue of the aftermarket blackout, not the color of the turn signals

During weekday rush hr and on the more regularly congested freeways this is the case but there are plenty of peripheral freeways on off hrs with room to drive like an assholes. Plus ppl race on the multiple Canyon roads here as well

Americans prefer a lot of things that make no sense

Red is difficult to see in direct sunlight? I never had that problem on the road

That’s a lazy, low-hanging fruit, joke.

Not sure why ppl have a problem with this, I have a 2014 S4 with DSG, live in LA which has notorious stop n go traffic, and the behavior of the transmission has never bothered me, and I have about 20k miles on the car. It didn’t feel any different to me than a traditional AT in stop n go.

You put the DSG into manual mode and you can hold whatever gear you please until you bounce off the redline and wreck your transmission. Plus starting off in manual mode, it will start in 1st gear and hold it until you tell it to shift into second
