I think people confuse type 1 with "insulin dependent" as it used to be called, and then make the assumption that type 2 isn't and also doesn't test...? Or they think about type 2 sufferers whose beta cells haven't failed yet, and test once per day or less.

I've been using a hacky solution at the office, which is honestly somewhat too low for standing, particularly the monitors — but I still prefer it over a normal desk.
I'd do #6 if our printer didn't need constant babysitting to feed paper.
