I’d agree with everything in this piece about how fantastic the open world is and how amazing (most of) the side quests are. My only small, niggling complaint is that I wish the game would systematically filter out unimportant map markers. Some locations are tied to other quests or remain important throughout the game

You don’t need a Mercedes S-Class to drive around in, but it’s still objectively a better car than a Ford Fiesta. Mechanical keyboards last longer, are more responsive, and typically (though not always) have a much better build quality both in parts and materials. They are, objectively, better keyboards than the $15

I wouldn’t necessarily say the rest of her kit is weak to compensate for her ult. Her main ‘problem’ is being mana-gated. You do 1 combo and it costs 1/2 your mana bar. Her E and Q are both incredibly powerful (Q especially once you build a sheen) and her passive is arguably the best in the game.

I’m talking about current team builder vs. team builder 2.0, which this post is about. (The new team builder will include a ranked team builder, but will also be replacing the currently existing (non-ranked) team builder.)

I’m really looking forward to this. I’ll miss the ‘captain mode’ features (it was pretty fun to curate your own ridiculous team comps), but having a ban/draft phase and removing mirror matches will be a huge bonus. There were also follow-up posts made by Riot saying your two role choices will be weighted in favor of

Riot really out-meme’d themselves with these.

They’re supposed to be life/order and death/chaos. They’re opposites, but forced to rely on one another and bound to one another for eternity. I’m not sure what the character’s actual backstory will end up being, but that’s certainly the theme that’s presented when you play them in game. All their lines are talking

I feel it’s only a problem if you’re a completionist. Arkham Knight can be finished in 10-14 hrs, but probably takes upwards of 50+ if you want to 100% it. AC Black Flag is only about 15-20 hrs, but also takes around 50+ to 100%.

She’s moreless the best female player in the FGC. She’s won a lot of Soulcalibur tournaments, but has also been fairly successful in Street Fighter and DoA as well.

And if you’re disappointed that Leona - a badass meat shield of a tank - inexplicably has 1/2 of her face exposed for some god-awful reason, Reddit has you covered.

Mobas are a pretty big time investment, so most people just find one that suits them best and stick with it. They might try the other ones at some point and even play them super casually, but one of them are gonna be their ‘main’ game. You see the same thing with MMOs (also a genre with a huge time commitment) and

“Punished.” lol. Everything below 100 ping is ‘good’ ping. Not great, or amazing, or perfect, but good. 100% playable with no issues. You’re not gonna fail ward jumps or Alistar’s WQ combo because you have 70 ping now instead of 30. Thing is, most players on the east coast couldn’t even get below 100 ping. Now, the

I know, right? Why on earth would Kotaku, a videogame website, write all these pieces about the world’s most popular videogame with a competitive league that rivals a Major League sport? Who on earth could possibly be interested in reading about that, other than the 70 million users who play the game every month? They

Live in the south with Comcast/Xfinity internet. 80~85 ping previously; 35~40 ping currently. No problems previously; no problems currently. Everything is business as usual. I don’t notice a difference.

Worlds 2014 (League of Legends’ Superbowl if you will) sold out Seoul’s World Cup Stadium with 44,000 people. It’s not that the events can’t fill bigger venues, but mostly a choice in how they decide to host them. In particular, Riot has stated that they prefer hosting events at indoor arenas over outdoor stadiums for

Well, Spiral Cats is a professional cosplay organization. Their work tend to go above and beyond your typical fan made costumes.

I only got into Overlord I think the 3rd episode. The first couple episodes felt like a generic ‘ppl stuck in a game’ anime (how are there enough of these that that’s actually a subgenre now?) but once he started interacting with the world, I was hooked. It feels so much more game-y than most anime of this ilk, which

Glad to see Shimoneta show up on this list. Had a couple friends pass it up thinking it was typical ecchi nonsense, but it’s so much more than crude humor. The plot actually has some legs to go along with all the nonsense and the censorship adds a nice twist to the humor as well.

Eh, once you get past Hearthstone on that list, there’s really not a lot of people watching these games. League, DotA, CSGO, and HS are pretty much the only games that routinely have more than 10k+ viewers on Twitch and all 4 of them are games with large pro/competitive communities. So it’s easy to understand why

My point was, it’s easy to make a bad film when you’re adapting mediocre source material. Nowhere did I say, “Bad source material guarantees a bad film.” but it’s painfully obvious from this film’s reception that they didn’t adapt the material into something worth watching.
