Because they’ve taken away what we’ve gotten in the past for free just to sell it to us. Don’t set an expectation and then remove it so you can charge for it.

I just popped on D2 for the first tim since October. If Bungie wants an MMO, then I’d honestly rather have a subscription. Problem is, even if they went the subscription route, they would still keep the eververse and overpriced transactions on top of the subscription.

People wouldn’t be so pissed about the eververse if Guardian fashion wasn’t such a huge part of Destiny. A part that was free and earned in the original game, while also looking much better. We also haven’t had vendor refreshes in D2 in what seems like forever. I’d take the great pieces from the end of D1 over

I would think most people saying cosmetic transactions would be ok, were also thinking “if they’re reasonably priced”. Of which not one game I can think of that has them these days doesn’t try to rob the player blind.

Preach!

Wow, that’s annoying. I don’t look forward to that when I get around to playing it DOS2 with my brother.

#1) Give up ‘Live Service’ games

No worries, I know it’s definitely hard to read someone’s intent, especially on the internet. Also, there are a lot of jerks when commenting anonymously.

Well, your not wrong. 😁

I really stopped playing BF hardcore after Bad Company 2. I tried 3 & 4 but wasn’t a fan. BF1 was interesting, but the lack of weapon variety ruined it for me.

“Please help, I want to be a bad ass space wizard!”

Your the first Kotaku writer than has my taste in games, with the exception of Death Stranding anyway.

I agree with all your points, it’s just given the two choices of bullet sponge or nick a toe and your dead, I’ll choose the latter. It would be nice to have something in between though.

Ok, the cat tweet was funny.

That should really be mandatory for any PvP game. It’s insane how often maps are repeated in multiplayer games, especially widely hated maps. 🤷‍♂️

I’ve been slightly interested in this game, which is a first since I stopped caring about CoD way back with Blops 1. Although the TTK wouldn’t bother me I’d imagine as I mostly played hardcore back when I did play CoD. I liked the quick TTK compared to the bullet sponge normal modes.

I’m too much of a wuss to play horror games, but this was really fascinating.

I’m not a horror fan so I wasn’t really interested in PT or Silent Hills, but this just reminds me of how much Konami needs to go fuck itself.

That sounds disappointing, I had always thought the whole base of the Witcher was the monster hunting parts. Considering I haven’t read the books or played more than a fraction of any of the games, I guess that’s a bit of a surprise to me.

I’ll be finding out soon enough, but I wonder if I should hold off on the show until I’ve read/listened to the books.
