I’m on a poor old launch PS4. haha

I didn’t play B3 in the first few weeks due to finishing other games, but the performance issues are getting unbearable for me. I’d hate to think they were actually worse at launch.

I wish Gearbox would focus on fixing the lag and performance issues in the game before even thinking about balance issues.

I just wish this model didn’t transfer over to console and PC gaming.

Most definitely, it was a range of factors that led us to the state we’re in now, but I always bring up the fact that consumers didn’t want to spend more than a dollar on a mobile game.

I agree, all Apple Arcade does is remind me of how mobile gaming used to be. Full games without all the bullshit cash grabs. I’m only trying the free month trial, then I’m canceling.

You could always go the easy route and pay someone to level up your characters for you. I mean enough people paid for Trials carries in D1 and pinnacle weapon carries in D2, so why play at all when you can just pay someone to do it for you and just jump into the end game. 🤷‍♂️😂

I love the reboot as it actually improved on the combat greatly, but I miss the know it all explorer Lara Croft. I would love a remaster of Crystal Dynamics first reboot trilogy, they’re still some of my favorite games. Even better if it would come to Switch.

Boo!! I want them to take all the time they need, but this is still some sad news. Ah well, more time to work on my backlog I suppose.

Now playing

“I want to be clear: our relationships in China had no influence on our decision.”

I agree, and I’ve finally been able to break free from the clutches of Destiny. I’ve finally reached my breaking point, and I’ve skipped Shadowkeep.

Yeah, I’m not a fan of the practice, even though I have played games like Destiny (far too much) and the Division.

Well I knew it was wishful thinking at best. Thanks for enlightening me.

Thanks for the info.

I’ve been wondering lately about these always online games as a service games. If I have to be online all the time why are my file sizes so large? Is none of the game content handled on the server side?

I rarely use my XB1, but I’ve recently discovered that it does allow you to do that. I don’t recall what the feature is called, but it can be found in the data management menus of the XB1. Apparently it also takes care of this automatically.

I hope they have performance boosts, then I can hopefully play Control at an acceptable frame rate. I already started putting money aside for the PS5. I skipped the pro because I knew it wouldn’t be worth the upgrade.

*get*

I can’t wait to see how bad Ubisoft fucks up Splinter Cell when it finally figures out how to turn it into an always online games as a service game. 🙄

I love that Jim had to heat wasted just to talk about this PoS game. 😂
