I was going to point my that out, and while Horizon certainly isn’t anything new in terms of gameplay, it’s certainly a big step outside of Geurrilla’s comfort zone and I applaud them for that.

I can see your point on Gears, but AC has definitely been over saturated, and I adore the franchise. Skipping a year for a main series AC game really doesn’t wash away the stain of over saturation. It’s nice that they’ll do so moving forward, I guess we’ll know more when the next game is revealed.

Yeah, I understand why franchises get milked, it’s not easy trying something new, let alone have it be successful.

Honestly, I’m not an RTS guy, I tried the original Halo Wars, but other than that it was just the Battle for Middle Earth games.

This stuff is irritating, it reminds me a bit of when I bought my PS3. I put my username in thinking it would essentially be my “gamer tag”, only to be asked to enter that in afterwards.

Maybe, just maybe, it’s time to put some of these game series (Halo, CoD, Gears of War, Assassins Creed, etc.) to rest for a good while? They’re a great series of games, and I’ve enjoyed many of them, but they’ve all grown stale.

It doesn’t bother me too much, but it could have been much worse. Just look at all the crazy nonsensical game titles that come from Japan.

Beast Wars is the best thing to come out of Transformers since the early 80's. I loved that show so much as a kid, sadly it’s aged terribly.

In both beta tests, I’ve had it end on me a handful of times. Still, freezing the game to start searching for a new host totally throws off a fight while in mid attack/block. It’s not super frequent at least.
