Lots of LHD drive cars in Japan. If you buy a car from a company that is from a LHD country you are pretty much expected to get a LHD car. It's some weird Japanese cultural thing.

5.0? I thought it was said they would only get turbos? I guess Top Gear is going to be happy then.
RB engines sound excellent as well. The entire series.
The fact that engine development was banned from racing is why I don't watch it. Cars like this and the Mazda get banned when technological development is supposed to be a large part of high level racing. Hate that more than anything in any other sport.
This or that Mazda. Why i don't watch racing, regulations ruin all technological development which was the original purpose of much of this high level racing series.
Why? The GTR isn't a drag racer and the Hellcat is built for that.
Well the GTR isn't a drag racer.
Dodge lost when they decided to sell their $30k V8 models with 375hp at 4000 lbs with 5 speed auto transmissions. I would of bought a Challenger or Charger if they were actually competitive. I actually like them quite a bit. In reality they are behind and live on old men nostalgia and rap video sales.
GTR jumped the shark when its price jumped from $60k to over $100k. Really it jumped the shark when it stopped being a Skyline trim. Fortunately the Eau Rogue is going to return to it, unfortunately the Q50 or whatever the G37 is called now is a shitty luxoyacht.
Meanwhile numerous dyno plots, on the same dynos, do not lie. You won't make 330hp but you will make 300hp, difference of which is not worth shimming the valve and other more routine maintenance and expensive you have to do with the S54. That and if you blow the engine doing track days you will save a few thousand on…
It's $61k BASE and they are going to be hugely marked up. Dealers are already charging a $15k surcharge just to order one. It's only going to get worse. I remember when the MSRP for a 1M was like $40-$45k or something and every dealer was marking them up by $20,000.
I find that most people who post here are not that technical and are mostly oil change and brakes + bolton mods people which is why people recommend the S52. The S54 is for more technical car owners who even among enthusiasts are a clear minority.
Doing things like shimming the valves is one of those things that is the line for a lot of people which is why for most people I would always recommend the S52. If you want to do things like that then yes the S54 is the definition of superior however I find that most people who post here are not that technical and are…
Saw that it was a 3 liter and was hoping for an n/a 2JZ but it's their V6..... I guess that explains why it's $600 2JZ cars hold their value a bit more.
Depends on how much modding you want to do with it. The S52/M52 is better in that regard. S52 engine is cams away from S54 power.
Yup. That is the version I would likely buy. 2.8 coupe.
Yes, and with that S54 your maintenance and repair bills are also another world.
Even then I wouldn't even need a M clownshoe to have fun. I would get the M52 version and call it a day. Would rather have a non-m coupe than a M roadster.
The S52 is even better IMO. Cams away from S54 power with a far more easier to maintain and reliable engine.
Just get a S52 with cams and you have S54 power with 1/4 the maintenance.
