Doing things like shimming the valves is one of those things that is the line for a lot of people which is why for most people I would always recommend the S52. If you want to do things like that then yes the S54 is the definition of superior however I find that most people who post here are not that technical and are

Saw that it was a 3 liter and was hoping for an n/a 2JZ but it's their V6..... I guess that explains why it's $600 2JZ cars hold their value a bit more.

Depends on how much modding you want to do with it. The S52/M52 is better in that regard. S52 engine is cams away from S54 power.

Yup. That is the version I would likely buy. 2.8 coupe.

Yes, and with that S54 your maintenance and repair bills are also another world.

Even then I wouldn't even need a M clownshoe to have fun. I would get the M52 version and call it a day. Would rather have a non-m coupe than a M roadster.

The S52 is even better IMO. Cams away from S54 power with a far more easier to maintain and reliable engine.

Just get a S52 with cams and you have S54 power with 1/4 the maintenance.

I wouldn't even need a Z3 M. The 28 version would be enough for me. Especially in Coupe form.

It wouldn't work in Monterey anyways.

FB gets 30 mpg because it only weighs like 1800lbs.

How easy is it to swap in a manual transmission into the 20b version? The 4 speed auto kills it for me.

lol i've had reptiles as pets and when they can't figure something out like if food is stuck or something they don't just start shreaking at it they just stop giving a shit.

you can still buy fairly simple cars that also have features like AWD and turbos. Like WRX comes to mind since it doesn't use a haldex-like awd system and is otherwise fairly minimal electronically. Only complicated modern thing it has I can think of is the electronic throttle body.

agreed

you can fit massive tires in that chassis too. Probably one of the best 80s chassis that exists next to a corvette if you want ridiculous grip.

probably one of the best looking widebodies. If this cars engine and injection system wasn't 10 years behind for it's own era I would of bought one. The steering is ancient tech by that time as well.

it's going to suck when in the future everyone swapped v8s into these. i see it all the time.

shouldn't of kept cool. Should of raised hell and threw a shit fit at these people, given us their names, and plastered 0 star reviews on yelp while getting a lawyer.

no blood, so pg-13. They show Steven Segal breaking arms all the time on TNT
