Your expectations were too high. This wasn't terrible at all it was decent and you were expecting something it never could be.

meh, i liked it. I didn't expect it to be anything more than Total Recall with arnold and it wasn't.

actually the prequel trilogy made me turn from loving star wars to disliking it. I like 2 movies in the series, that is all.

I liked it, was just like a classic james bond movie finally. It was the polar opposite of those recent Star Trek movies in that regard.

Star Trek is supposed to be a classic-style utopic sci-fi, not some gritty action/adventure. Saying "i want something to be realistic" in a show about meeting aliens and traveling faster than light is hilarious.

there is a concept of a motioned beam. It would work like those pink floyd concert lasers that make images using a moving mirror and do a side to side swipe which at a high enough energy would cut a person in half

which is why I don't think it will be used as a weapon, it's effectively a long range flamethrower which isn't used anymore by the military i'm guessing because it's banned? im not sure
